Trump wins the title of most admired American man in an annual poll

The results of the poll, conducted Dec.1-17, were broadly split along party lines, with 48 percent of Republicans choosing Trump and 32 percent of Democrats choosing Obama as their best option. Biden was also a popular choice for Democrats, garnering 13 percent of their responses.

No other public figure besides Trump has garnered more than 2% of the Republican vote. Trump and Obama tied in the independents’ vote, with each receiving 11%, while Biden received 3%.

This year’s results mark the 10th time Trump has finished among the 10 Most Admired Men and the 15th time Obama has made the list.

The results of the 2020 poll also included many first-time winners, including Dr. Anthony Fauci in fourth place on the men’s list, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in seventh, and Supreme Court Judge Amy Connie Barrett in ninth place over women. List.

Other top men for 2020 include Pope Francis, tech entrepreneur Elon Musk, Senator Bernie Sanders, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, NBA star LeBron James and the Dalai Lama.

When asked which woman they liked the most this year, 10% of respondents mentioned Michelle Obama, 6% said Harris and 4% said First Lady Melania Trump.

The list of most liked women also includes former talk show host Oprah Winfrey, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Queen Elizabeth II and climate activist Greta Thunberg.
